I'm Nicky Marran, a person centred therapist, offering counselling via my therapy room in Ossett, Wakefield, phone or online.
Vox is Latin for voice. Does yours feel heard? I aim to offer therapy with a warm and down to earth approach, creating space for people to voice their thoughts and experiences, explore and reflect on their current situation in order to move into a more meaningful, present and happy future.

THE WAY I WORK
My fundamental training in the Person-Centred Approach fits with my own philosophy that you have the desire and capability to grow and achieve your full potential and that you are an expert in your own life. Therefore, in our work together, my role is not to give you any advice or guidance, rather, I will work alongside you by being honest, non-judgemental and fully accepting of you in a safe and supportive environment, allowing you to lead and set the pace of our work together in order that you understand yourself more fully and find your inner resources.
With greater self-awareness and trust in yourself, I hope you will be able to make constructive changes leading to a more fulfilled life.
Having a passion for learning and being open to new ideas, I regularly attend further training. This, in addition to my experience in facilitating mental health workshops and support groups means I have added to my ‘therapy tool kit’ over the years, developing an eclectic approach, able to draw upon a range of resources best suited to your needs. Being a visual person, I also enjoy working creatively to encourage clients to express their thoughts and emotions if suitable.
I work with adults aged 18+ and am experienced in working with anxiety, depression, relationship and work issues. I have a particular interest in working with carers, bereavement and loss. I attend monthly supervision and undergo personal therapy myself on a regular basis.
